Goins is not only licensed as a mortgage lender and mortgage broker in North and South Carolina,  he is also licensed in both North and South Carolina as a Real Estate Broker and General Contractor.  He is a member of the North Carolina Association of Mortgage Professionals and a member of the National Association of Mortgage Professionals. Larry has been investing in Real Estate for over 22 years. </p>
<p>In the past, Larry has served as President of the Metrolina Real Estate Investors Association in Charlotte NC, a not-for-profit organization that has over 350 members and is the local chapter of the National Real Estate Investors Association. Larry is an active real estate investor and travels the US speaking and training audiences at conventions, expos and Real Estate Investment Associations on his strategies for buying 10-15 properties per month without ever leaving his office. Between speaking engagements and mentoring other Investors, he oversees the daily operations of Investors Rehab, Inc., of which he is a co-founder and officer.</p>

<p><em>I loved meeting the Q&amp;A posters whose advice I cherish. </em><em>I loved getting ideas from folks in the hall. </em><em>I loved Jeffrey&#8217;s fresh ideas to increase my resident retention. </em><em>I loved Lou Brown&#8217;s system for selling houses to people who can&#8217;t get a loan &#8211; bought the course!! &amp; already started my first deal this morning. </em><em>I loved Roy&#8217;s talk. He is the real deal &amp; gave us some truly golden nuggets. Love that Alabama drawl!&#8221;</em></p>

<p><em>&#8220;The convention this year was great. All the speakers addressed topics pertinent to today&#8217;s real estate environment. Heard lots of suggestion and hope to implement some new procedures to improve cash flow. The attendance appeared very high. Not sure if that&#8217;s because St Louis allows so many to drive here or if more and more investors are understanding that NOW is the time to be buying and making money in real estate. Hope St Louis is a repeat for the 2012 convention.</em></p>
<p><em>Met with lots of old friends from various parts of the country. It&#8217;s so nice to be able to place a face with a handle on the Q&amp;A for those who do post here. My favorite aspect of the convention is the people interaction. Interactions include round tables to allow everyone to discuss what&#8217;s on their mind, dinners with others, golfing, or just sitting in the bar. You just can&#8217;t get the face time on the computer or phone or even video.</em></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>A website visitor recently asked</strong> on the popular MrLandlord.com Q &amp; A forum, “Is landlording and real estate investing a slow way to wealth?  The average landlord has less than 20 rentals.  By the time your properties are paid off, you are old with many health problems.  How many real millionaires under 60 do you know that made it self-made by being a landlord?”</p>
<p><strong>My response</strong> is that it does NOT have to be a slow process, if you treat it as a business, get and stay educated, and take action. I know hundreds of landlords under 60 who are real millionaires. In fact, I will be reuniting with several dozen of them in two weeks on the annual Mr. Landlord Getaway Cruise Conference.</p>
<p>Your right, landlording is small-scale for most landlords. However, please DON’T let that limit your vision of what’s possible for you. The truth of the matter, whatever business you pick, limited success is the case for the majority of people. But again, don’t let that limit your vision, especially during these times. Right now there are probably more landlords becoming new millionaires than in any other time.</p>
<p>I challenge you in 2012 to <strong>enlarge your vision</strong> and most importantly start hanging around people who ARE becoming millionaires. There are actually many millionaire landlords. You will not hear them boasting about it, but trust me they are here.</p>
<p>Over the years, the landlords who I have watched become self-made millionaires, take action, get educated, buy real estate courses, attend workshops, conference and bootcamps. While I know, many people are cynical of courses and bootcamps (and for good reason), that cynicism also has stopped many landlords from reaching higher goals.</p>
<p>Instead of taking action and calculated risks by attending trainings, they scoff at the idea of spending even a few hundred bucks or dare I say a thousand to educate themselves. Mind you, they want to become millionaires, yet the majority of people, think this can happen by reading a couple of $20 books and gathering all the free information they can on the internet. It’s no wonder it’s a slow go for most.</p>
<p>YES there are thousands of landlords becoming self-made millionaires. And with the right mentors, actions, training, associates/associations and, knowledge, it does NOT have to take you until you are 60 to reach financial freedom.</p>
<p>That’s why I’m hoping that many of you will consider joining me this year for the MrLandlord.com National Convention in St. Louis.
